Our client one of the leading companies in UAE which is into food trading requires an experienced Logistics Manager for their operations in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate should have minimum 8 – 10 years of experience in related field. Knowledge of African market would be an added advantage.  

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Ø  Handling of all logistics (inbound and outbound) relating to the company’s activities.

Ø  Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services

Ø  Booking vessels and establishing relationships with shipping lines.

Ø  Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle

Ø  Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers

Ø  Preparing all documentation required for shipments.

Ø  Coordinate staff scheduling and time cards.

Ø  Resolve any arising problems or complaints

Ø  Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce

Ø  Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets

Ø  Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements

Ø  Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements

Ø  Manage an accurate inventory of warehouse materials

Ø  Schedule and track inbound and outgoing shipments

Ø  Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients’ criteria

Ø  Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs

Ø  Negotiate rates with carriers

Ø  Maintain customer service logs and safety records

Ø  Oversee workplace safety standards and ensure compliance.

Ø  Manage budget for logistics processes.

Ø  Following up on all on-going projects.

 SKILLS REQUIRED

 Bachelor’s /Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Logistics or Supply Chain) or equivalent

       Minimum 8 – 10 years of Proven working experience in logistics field

       Record of successful distribution and logistics management

       Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

       Proficient in standard logistics software

       Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills

       Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
