Under the guidance of the Head of Support Services, the Logistics Officer works in closed collaboration with the Operations, Security and Project Teams to successfully deliver logistical services. The incumbent is responsible to abide by security policies, administrative instructions, plans and procedures of the Multinational Oil Corporation Security Management System.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Assess the logistics team by reviewing their functions, roles and distributions of tasks and responsibilities;
Support and advise on logistic operations activities of the Operations;
Support, mentors and coaches Logistics Unit on a timely and cost-efficient delivery of tasks and duties such as sub-contracting of local companies (i.e. office equipment maintenance, security service), renting and rehabilitating of premises, communication systems, office equipment and supply, transportation and fuel agreements in coordination with the management.
Assure a proper management and record keeping according to UNOPS rules and regulations particularly with regards to asset and expendables management;
Implement and maintain sound asset and expendables management and inventory control system in collaboration with the Project Managers and contractors;
Prepare Receipt and Inspection Reports (RIR) for all incoming equipment and supplies;
Issue equipment and supplies and maintain updated inventory records for different sources of funding;
Review Asset Registry and develop a plan for verifying and re-registering assets procured by the country programme in accordance with UNOPS policy;
Reconcile all assets recorded in the Assets Register against the items purchased by the programme. Coordinate this reconciliation process with the Head of Support Services and the logistics sections of relevant projects;
Analyze and report the use of expendable items for each project and the Country Office;
Organize the planning of the quarterly and annual assets and expendables verifications in collaboration with the Regional Support Services Officer;


A degree (or equivalent), in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, Procurement or other related field with 2 years of relevant working experience

Relevant experience is defined as experience in logistics, procurement or supply change management.
Within relevant experience, 5 years must be in logistics or supply chain management or warehouse management.
Mine Action experience desired.
